Go on a private, local photography tour to see and capture images of the iconic Black Eagles in Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens with Ernest Porter, staff photographer for the Black Eagles Roodekrans Project. Makatsa and Thulane have a chick on the nest, so now through November 2017 is an incredible time to capture the adults bringing prey to the nest. The youngster should fledge in October or November, and then the exciting aggression stage starts, where both adults teach the fledgling to be a fierce Black Eagle by “attacking” it in mid-air.
Ever wonder how Ernest edits his award-winning, breathtaking photos? Ask him teach you the basics of Lightroom and Photoshop in private or small group short courses.
